The identities of two inmates, who escaped from Kuje jail on June 24, Friday, were unveiled by service public relations officer, DCP Francis Enobore, Vanguard reports.
Mr. Enobore said those who escaped the prison were Maxwell Ajukwu from Delta state and Solomon Amodu from Kogi.
The duo was reported to have escaped from the prison at about eight o’clock in the evening while not through jailbreak.
The officer added that the prisoners in question were awaiting trial for culpable homicide and have no relationship with Charles Okah in what ever manner as its being alleged.
He said that the efforts are on in cooperation with sister security agencies and relevant bodies to retake the fleeing inmates.
NAIJ.com reported earlier that Charles Okah escaped from the prison walls on June 24, Friday.
However, the Nigerian Prisons Service debunked the rumours that the suspected mastermind of the 2010 Independence Day bombings has fled the jail.
